Welcome to California Wing, Civil Air Patrol!

On behalf of the over 3,100 volunteer members of the California Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, I would like to welcome you to our website.  Each of our members exemplifies the Civil Air Patrol’s Core Values: Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence and Respect; and California Wing’s individual and organizational philosophy of Commitment, Accountability and Preparedness.

Among these web pages you will find information on the activities the more than 70 local units located throughout California .  If you are interested in joining this worthwhile organization, I highly recommend you visit a unit near your home, work or school.  I believe you will find the Civil Air Patrol offers opportunities to participate in numerous activities that will satisfy a variety of interests.

California Wing is one of the major subordinate units of the Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force.  Founded December 1, 1941, the Civil Air Patrol fulfills a three-fold mission in service to its members’ community, state and nation.  These missions include Emergency Services, Aerospace Education and youth leadership development, known as the Cadet Program.  To learn more about the Civil Air Patrol, visit our national organization’s website at www.GoCivilAirPatrol.com.

Thank you for your interest in the California Wing and the Civil Air Patrol.

Sincerely,

Kenneth W. Parris, Colonel, CAP
