Test Control Officer - E-Mail Service

 

1. Who can get a Test Control Officer e-mail account?

Any designated WING Test Control Officer whose Wing does not use a .GOV email domain

A TCO email account is available for other designated personnel as approved by National in writing (These written approvals must accompany the request)

2. What kinds of e-mail accounts are available?

POP3
A POP3 email account using the TCO email system and is accessible via any POP3 email program (i.e., Outlook, Eudora, Messenger, Thuderbird).

WEBMAIL
A WebMail email account using the TCO email system and is accessible via any Web Browser (i.e., FireFox, Internet Explorer, Opera).

3. How do I set up an e-mail account?

Send an e-mail message with the following information to the TCO E-Mail administrator:

  • In the subject line of your message, type "TCO Wing E-mail Request for [the name of your WING]: [your name]"

In the body of the message, type the following information:

  • Please establish a TCO e-mail account
  • I am the [insert the name of your Wing] Test Control Officer and this is reflected in my e-services record
  • My full name is [insert your actual name]
  • My assigned unit is: [insert your actual charter number]
  • My CAPID is: [insert here]

NOTE: Please ensure that the email being used to request the TCO account is listed in your e-services profile. If it is not listed, your request will be ignored.

After receiving this message this information will be sent to National for approval and the administrator will establish your account on the TCO mail server and send you a reply message to your alternate e-mail address notifying you that your account is now active.

NOTICE OF USE

TCO.CAP.GOV email accounts are monitored for use.

Use of TCO.CAP.GOV email accounts are restricted to official CAP Test Control Officer functions.

Use for other than CAP activities will result in the account being terminated with minimal notice.
