Wing level Aerospace Education Officer School

This is a two day course held at "Tomorrow's aviation museum" at the Compton airport over the weekend of April 25 and 26. The school includes the basics for becoming a successful aerospace education officer to include understanding the structure of the AE program, as well as a course to obtain your technician rating with one on one instruction and and then introduction to stem kits and teaching AE classes plus putting together an AE program for your squadron. Although a hotel is close by, this would be most convenient for new aerospace education officers in the greater Los Angeles area. The school also provides the opportunity for experienced technician or senior level aerospace education officers to instruct at the school in order to upgrade their specialty track rating.

The courses (most are 30-45 minutes) are (subject to ongoing modernization):

  • History of CAP Aerospace Education

  • The AEO Continuity Book and Specialty Track

  • AE Products and Programs

  • AEMS, ACE, and the Top Flight Program

  • AEX Program

  • AE Awards

  • Budgets and Grants

  • AE Plans and Reports

  • Surviving the Subordinate Unit Inspection

  • Going beyond the book
