Group 5 SAREX (TENTATIVE)

Advanced SAR/DR Exercise will prioritize WALDO training as well as qualifying other aircrew, ground teams, APAS, remote launch of UDF teams, and qualifying and training base staff in Group 5, 2 and 6. WALDO sorties will be coordinated closely with El Dorado County SAR to further develop training and tactics to use in support of Sheriff SAR operations. 1-2 APAS Tsunami Warning sorties to be conducted in coordination with Humbolt County along the North coast. Search grids/areas will be mountainous and non-mountainous and relatively close to the ICP to minimize flight time/travel time and maximize time in the grid. Emphasis will be on thorough sortie planning and efficient use of time to launch on time each day of an increased operation tempo.
