Group 6 Emergency Services is planning a Search and Rescue (SAR) and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise on the weekend of January 20-21, 2024 at Bakersfield Airport (KBFL). All Seniors and Cadets are welcome to attend. Come out and train in the field with mission base, aircrew, ground, and sUAS training. This will be a combined forces exercise focused on component (air, ground, sUAS) integration and qualifications that reflect current and future mission needs, such as AP. Emphasis will be placed on real-world scenarios. Evaluators for all qualifications will be in attendance! A light breakfast, lunch, and beverages will be provided. The cost will be $15/person per day, cash only. Bring exact change if able. If cost is an issue, please reach out to 1st Lt Kevin Shen. There will be an option to remain overnight at the facility free of charge. You will need to bring applicable sleeping gear, such as a cot, sleeping bag, or air mattress, and bedding. Meals will not be provided, so please have money on hand to eat out in organized groups.
