GROUP 7 SAR TRAINING EXERCISE TO RENEW/MAINTAIN/TRAIN PERSONNEL TO ENSURE CAWG & GROUPS 7'S MISSION READINESS FOR AIRCREW, GROUND TEAM & BASE STAFF.

Grp 7's SAREX is open to both seniors and cadets and for all ES ratings. You will have the opportunity to complete and have notarized your DSW application and have the DSW oath administered by a CAP member who is a Notary Public. There is no need to worry about having to mail it to CAL-OES, we will do that for you. The DSW Oath will be administered on both Sat and Sun mornings just before deployment. CAP encourages Members to sign up as a DSW volunteer. In California, we work with CAL-OES and for us to be covered by State Worker's Comp insurance we need to be authorized (oath administered Members for CAL-OES). Without the DSW volunteer status, you will not be deployed on CAWG "C" missions for CAL-OES.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES:

1. Train new aircrew, ground team, and base staff personnel

2. Minimum of 15 new fully qualified ES personnel across all ES roles

3. Minimum of 7 renewal/currency ES personnel

4. Minimum of 6 sorties for aircrew training

5. Minimum of 2 sorties with ground team/UDF integration

6. Cadet integration to ES and OPS activities

7. Comms/Base staff integration to a/c and ground sorties

8. In support of CAWG ES goals and Group 7 readiness.
