SoCAL Water Survival Training

A Water Survival Training will be held on October 5, 2024 at JFTB Los Alamitos Aquatic Center.   This is the required practical training for WST certification, and is intended for flight crews (MP, MO, MS).    Instructors will be Capt. Dominick Scarola and 1Lt.  Chris Younger.
Attendees must have completed the CAP Absorb Course "Overwater Survival Course and Test"  WITHIN  30 DAYS OF THE IN-POOL TRAINING EVENT.  I.e., take course after Sept 5, 2024 but before Oct 5.   If you've taken this class earlier this year, you'll need to retake it.

Priority will be given to current Mission Pilots, then Mission Observers, then Mission Scanners, followed by trainees for each crew position. 

Cost will be $10.

[STEP 2]. Email your CAP online course completion certificate to Daniel Balderston and Dominick Scarola.
Once you complete both steps, you will receive a registration confirmation with further details.  Class size will be limited. You will be notified approx 1-2 weeks prior to the event if you are accepted or wait-listed.
