sUAS Mission Aircrew School (MAS)

To those interested in attaining an emergency services rating of sUAS Technician (UAST) and sUAS Mission Pilot (UASMP), there will be an sUAS Mission Aircrew School (MAS) at JFTB Los Alamitos, CA.

Classroom training will be in the morning from 0830 – 1130 at the StarBase Building JFTB Los Alamitos, CA.

Mission participation will be held in the afternoon at nearby El Dorado Park in Long Beach.

Attendance is required for both days.

The dates will be Saturday thru Sunday, June 3 & 4, 2023.

Space is limited and priority will be given to those who complete the SQTR Tasks (below) for your specific rating (UAST or UASMP) on or before COB Friday May 26, 2023.

The following are the SQTR Task requirements to be completed prior to 26-May-23.

Please select the specific course (UAST or UASMP) you are attending.

For new sUAST rating:

1.       All sUAS Prerequisite Tasks

2.       Commanders Approval for Prerequisites

3.       sUAS Familiarization and Preparatory Training Tasks

4.       Commanders Approval for Familiarization and Preparatory Training on SQTR

5.       ICUT

6.       IS 100, IS 200, IS5.A, IS 700, IS 800

7.       Aircrew professionalism

For new sUAS MP rating:

1.       All sUASMP Prerequisites (note: you must be current on your Part 107 license and have a current Form 5U)

2.       Documented 4 HRS PIC

3.       sUASMP Commanders' Approval

4.       Completed sUASMP Familiarization and Preparatory Training on SQTR

5.       sUASMP Commander’s Approval for Familiarization and Preparatory Training

6.       ICUT

7.       IS 100, IS 200, IS5.A, IS 700, IS 800

8.       Aircrew Professionalism Course

For sUAST renewal,

1.       None required to be admitted

2.       Your exercises #1 & 2 will be will be given priority depending on new UAST applicants

 

For sUASMP renewal,

1.       Current Part 107 (renewal if applicable has to be completed)

2.       Current CAPF 5U

3.       Your exercises #1 & 2 will be given priority depending on new UASMP applicants

Due to class room restrictions, space will be limited to the first thirty (30) applicants who have completed their requirements.

If you complete the requirements earlier than 26-May-23, email maria.tirona@cawgcap.org that you have completed them and she can sign you into the class.

Lastly, for those attending, we will be collecting $20 to cover snacks, coffee, and water. Lunch is on your own.
