The Aerospace Education STEM Academy (AESA) is held at the renowned Edwards Air Force Base, home of the Air Force Test Center, Air Force Test Pilot School, and NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center.
The AESA offers an immersive experience where you can explore your passion for aerospace and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge STEM kits. This event is a fantastic opportunity for you to broaden your knowledge, develop leadership skills, interact with industry professionals, and make new friends.

What is AESA?
The Aerospace Education STEM Academy (AESA) is an exciting and immersive program designed for Civil Air Patrol (CAP) cadets to explore the world of aerospace and STEM. Through hands-on learning with STEM kits, exciting tours, and expert guest speakers, cadets will gain invaluable knowledge in aviation, space exploration, robotics, programing and much more. This is your chance to ignite your passion for STEM and become part of the future of the aerospace world!
When is it?
AESA 2025 will take place during the summer, from July 13 - 19, 2025. Mark your calendars for a week of unforgettable experiences!
Where is it?
The Academy will be held at Edwards AFB in the high desert of Southern California, with exciting opportunities for cadets to tour top aerospace facilities and engage with industry professionals.

To apply, ensure you meet the following prerequisites:
* Must be a C/A1C or above
* At least 14 years of age
* Graduate of a CAP encampment

How much does it cost?
The cost for AESA 2025 is about $400 per cadet. This includes all materials, tours, meals, and housing during the week. Scholarships are available, so be sure to inquire!
