IN-PROCESSING 20 JUNE 2026
Good afternoon,
This message is for all Civil Air Patrol members attending the 2026 California Wing Encampment and arriving tomorrow. While it is intended for both cadets and parents, it is especially important that parents and drivers carefully read and understand the information below.
A previous email was sent detailing arrival windows and the importance of adhering to them. We are hosting the largest encampment in CAWG history, and processing students is a very time-consuming task.
The following items require your immediate attention to ensure a smooth arrival and in-processing experience:
Transportation
-
Please arrive only during your designated arrival window. Adhering to your assigned arrival window is critical to maintaining an efficient flow of traffic and in-processing.
-
If carpooling, only one student in the vehicle needs to be assigned to that arrival window for all in the vehicle to be admitted.
-
Drivers should plan to remain only long enough to drop off their students.
-
Before departing, drivers must ensure their students have all required equipment, paperwork, medications, and personal belongings in their possession.
-
If required items are discovered to have been left in a vehicle, the driver may be asked to return to Camp Roberts to deliver them.
-
-
CAP corporate vehicles, as well as train and airport arrivals, are not subject to the designated arrival windows.
-
Individuals arriving before their assigned window will be directed to leave and return at the appropriate time.
Medication
-
Any medication must be stored together in a clear ziplock bag and be easily accessible.
-
Medication will need to be presented during the arrival process.
-
If this does not apply to you, please disregard this item.
Uniform
-
Cadets must arrive at Camp Roberts wearing their Airman Battle Uniform (ABU) or Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) uniform.
-
Cadets who are not in uniform will not be permitted to enter the installation for in-processing.
CAPID
-
All members must have their CAPID readily available and easily accessible (recommended location: right pocket).
Eat Before Arriving
-
Lunch will not be provided upon arrival. The first meal will be dinner on Saturday 6/20.
Additionally, the Encampment Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) is attached. These procedures will be heavily relied upon throughout the event. Please begin reviewing and studying them as soon as possible.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, please travel safe!
