Winter Encampment Registration OPEN

September 20, 2026

California Wing,

We are excited to announce that registration is open for Student (first-time) and Advanced Training Squadron (returning) cadets for the 2026 CAWG Winter Encampment. Do not wait to register!

Encampment is an incredible opportunity to build a strong foundation for future success, create lifelong friendships, and overcome any obstacle. This training event is highly encouraged for all cadets and is a prerequisite for the General Billy Mitchell Award and promotion to the grade of C/2d Lt.

For those who have graduated from encampment, consider applying for the Advanced Training Squadron (ATS) to receive additional training in a broader scope of CAP's missions, including: CPR, ES qualifications, model rocketry badge, practical leadership training (NCOS credit), and much more. For the first time in California, we are giving ATS students the opportunity to pursue an aerospace or emergency services track specifically, giving you the chance to focus more on your particular interests. Not only that, you will have the opportunity to further familiarize yourself with the Encampment program and learn the skills necessary to serve on cadre in future years.

The encampment will be held at Camp Parks from 27 December - 3 January for both first-time students and ATS students.

STUDENT PREREQUISITES: Be a CAP member, complete Achievement 1 (Curry) by the start of Encampment. Do NOT delay in your registration, this event is expected to reach capacity, and all subsequent registrants will be placed on a waitlist.

COST: $570 (inclusive of processing fee) Encampment applicants will not pay the encampment fee until after selected, which will be after applications close and CEAP awards are announced. For now, all applications will be held and prioritized.
